PvP Season Begins!
Dear players,
we hope you are enjoying the life on Athena! We are extremely thankful for all your support and interest, and we will continue providing you the best gaming experience on our realm.
There are many more news we have in store for you, but today, we bring you a reminder about what is soon to come: On Wednesday, the gates of ranked battlegrounds and arenas will open to launch the first PvP Season of Athena, season 9 (Vicious)! This period of competition shall begin on 12:30 PM server time, and will conclude with the content patch 4.2.
To improve your PvP experience, we are introducing a handful of cool new features, such as the MoP-style Arena system or the Conquest Points catch-up system. More details can be found here. Regarding the anticipated solo queue feature, we will start rolling it slowly after the arena season starts, since it has never been on any of our live servers before. Tomorrow we will conduct some silent tests on Athena and if all goes well, we will launch it in the upcoming days. Furthermore, we are excited to announce the opening of yet another event many of you know and love from Apollo: the weekly 3v3 Arena tournaments, hosted every Saturday and Wednesday from 7 PM to 11 PM server time. Be prepared for more action, more teamwork, and more thrilling moments during this time! And the greatest part of this ‒ no sign up is required! All you need to do is team up for a 3v3 and queue up some arenas, to be eligible for great rewards including Honor Points, Conquest Points, and account-bound satchels!
